7777777 Posted December 19, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 19, 2005 What's the best way to swim with the sting rays and then go to a nice beach for fun in the sun? Tour or go on our own? Also, what beach would you recomend? Thanks for any input. We are going the first week of Feb.
jkrislc Posted December 19, 2005 #2 Share Posted December 19, 2005 I have a similar question. I want to do the rays, but also want to go to the Turtle Farm and the Tortuga Factory. I already know who I want to do the rays with, but does anyone know how much a taxi to these two places to and from the tender dock will run? Ellya Posted December 19, 2005 #3 Share Posted December 19, 2005 Nativeway offers a snorkel and rays tour. After the tour, they will drop you off at Seven Mile Beach (Seagrape is where they left us). There is a small restaurant/bar and chairs to rent (or just sit on the beach for free). After you are done at the beach, you just grab a taxi back to the ship. They also offer a longer tour, the Rays, Reef and Rum Point tour which includes the rays, snorkeling and lunch at a small, fairly secluded beach. It takes the whole day, but is a good value given the prices of food on the island! We have taken each of these tours and they are both good.
