Has anyone stayed at the Stirling Suites 151 SW 18th Court Dania Any comments? They have complimentary transportation from airport to hotel and from hotel to cruiseport in FLL.

NEVER book a hotel because of a "free" shuttle, they're rarely ever worth the hassle and in many cases people end up giving up and taking a cab anyway.

 

The best place to stay is along SE 17th Street. It's a safe area less than 10 minutes from FLL, just outside the entrance to Port Everglades and the hotels along SE 17th Street are within safe, easy walking distance of dozens of restaurants, shops, grocery, drug & liquor stores as well as the very popular Water Taxi.

 

SE 17th Street hotels (closest to Port Everglades and FLL, the last 3 are the "budget" hotels)...
