GSC Cabana Refund Process?

Hi

 

I am looking to book a large Cabana in GSC. If the ship skips the island what is the process for a refund. Only asking as I would not want OBC we would want a refund to the card.

 

Has anybody had an experience of this. Any information would be gratefully received before I book

This happened to us on our 12/30 Epc cruise. I had booked the cabana before we left & paid with a credit card. When we missed the stop, they issued the refund to our folio & did not credit to our original credit card. We had a larger folio balance than the cabana credit, so we just ended up paying less when the cruise ended. I had also paid for 2 additional people in the cabana while onboard. Those charges were just taken off when we missed the port.

I am going to give them a call today. Already have UBP and $200 OBC and tend not to spend much more on the ship. Considering GSC is the second last day even more OBC is going to be no good to us.

I booked a small cabana on a 3 day Sky with a Cuba as a back to back. If we miss GSC on the first leg of the cruise and get OBC, would we be able to use that on the next one since it is a back to back??? Not looking for another cabana but looking to use any OBC that might incur.

Just off the phone to them. They have confirmed a refund can be processed of onboard credit is not wanted or required. Hope this helps other cruisers.
