yankeesgirl63 Posted January 25, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 25, 2018 I am taking my mom on the Allure this April and I have some questions about Pearl Island. She had a knee replacement a few weeks ago and she just wants to sit on the beach somewhere and relax. When we looked at the pictures of Pearl Island, it looked like there was a tiny beach and no chairs actually on the beach, but up a flight of stairs. Is there another area of Pearl Island where you can actually sit on the beach? She doesn't want to keep going up and down stairs to go back and forth to the water. Does anyone have pictures of the beach at Pearl Island? This was her preference but she is open to Blue Lagoon. Any pros and cons to either of these is also recommended. Thank you! LC Crusader Dad Posted February 2, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 2, 2018 Yankee Girl, we did the RCCL Pearl Island - Allure of the Sea excursion last May. Had a terrific time. But; the lay out of the Pearl Island is pretty much as you described. There are plenty of loungers. I am not sure if the stairs to and from the small but really nice beach would work for your mom, 3 months Post Op? Check with her physician and or rehab therapist for what she will be able to do in April. I will say; you get a nice calm boat tour, a decent lunch, friendly staff and very clean bathrooms on the excursion.
