tarheelmjfan Posted December 25, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 25, 2005 DH & I took a few bottles of wine on our last cruise. Our room attendant took it to the dining room, when we set it out. We hope to take more on this cruise, if the policy allows. (We don't like very many reds, & like bringing a Merlot that we enjoy.) The only drawback was that we never knew ahead of time, if we would be ordering beef, chicken, or seafood. Is it possible to send all of your wine at once, then choose what you want based on what you order for dinner? Thanks :)

Thanks :) Hey Tammy :D Yes, you can send it all to the dining room and choose which ones to open after you see the menu. On the first night talk to your sommelier and tell him/her that you will be sending the bottles down and they will store them for you. Be sure to identify each bottle with your name, table number and which dinner seating. Which Merlot do you and Kenneth like?

We've never liked most red wines, because of the oak flavor. It's too woodsy for us. ;) The one we like is very smooth & fruity. :)
Karynanne Posted December 25, 2005 #4 Share Posted December 25, 2005 We give our wine (Reds and Whites) to our cabin steward. It's brought down to the diningroom with our table #. The sommelier always comes by when we ordered, and asks us our preference. Karyn
psychboss Posted December 25, 2005 #5 Share Posted December 25, 2005 Bill and I prefer Brollo's and Bronello de Montalcino (1997-1999) But I doubt that we will take up airplane weight with wine. We will fine wine aboard that we like. We can always fine something we like.
