Looking for a beach in Barbados

I was in Barbados about 4 years ago on a cruise. To get to the beach we went to we walked through a downtown-like area and then crossed a bridge where a street vendor was selling water color paintings (we bought three). At the beach we went through a restaurant where we got a chair and a token for a drink for $10. There was a big trampoline or raft in the water. The beach was quite crowded but a lot of fun. I can't remember where it was or if we took a cab part way then walked. Can anyone help - Sarah??

The Boatyard is the place you went. Everything you have said points to that. It's still there. You likely walked there and took a cab back. Some people do that.

Thanks a lot Sunniebgi. Our ship has five port calls in five days with barbados in the middle and I think a day of just walking to a beach and hanging out may be a good break.
