Native Floridian 26 Posted April 9, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 9, 2018 For the same price, I can drop off the car at MIA and take the Alamo shuttle to the port, or using Budget drop off the car at the Port location and get shuttled to the port. Taking into account the drive to the airport versus directly to the downtown location, and time spent waiting for the shuttle and getting dropped off, which would be easier and less time consuming? We're coming from Southwest Florida over I-75 and I don't want to get on the Turnpike, so will use 95 to get to Miami Port location. Thank you! Native Floridian 26 Posted April 10, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted April 10, 2018 We have gone with Alamo as they provide the free shuttle from MIA Yes, so does Budget from their downtown location. That's why I was curious if anyone had done both and which would be easier.
Ron_L Posted April 11, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 11, 2018 We returned at the Budget location last January. It was a complete zoo and the line for the shuttle was huge! We just happened to see a taxi right after finishing the car return and took the taxi to the port. I’m not sure if it is always that busy. It was on January 2nd, so that may have contributed.
