Hi,

We will be in Curacao March 21 on Empress of the seas. We are wondering what you did on your day there and if you ended up going to Playa Porto Mari beach and what your opinion was of the beach. We are looking forward to hearing any info you can share with us about your thoughts of the island and what we should do on our day there.

Just replied to you on the HAL forum... my cruise isn't until NEXT December!:)

As I posted ove there, I'll be glad to share my thoughts with you.... nanzo at datasync.com

I've got my eye on several OTHER beaches, and am thinking about hiring a "driver" for the day. (Just at the beginning of my "planning" stage);)

Laceyjane, it is easy to walk around in Curacao (in the "downtown" area, not far from the pier(s) ) , so you could take a stroll after time at the beach. There is a historical walking tour that is self-guided which is interesting. I liked the floating market, which is boats that come in to sell fish and produce. It's rather pungent, but quite colorful. There are also casinos to check out, and some decent shopping.
