absolutonrox Posted August 7, 2018 #26 Share Posted August 7, 2018 Anyone have experience with the Wifi on Pride? We're sailing in September. We will be leaving our 17 month old home and DW wants something that she'll be able to use to Facetime with him for a few minutes daily. Grandparents who are watching him don't have iPhones, so that facetime isn't an option. We are thinking Facebook Messenger, or possibly some other app similar to it? Any personal experiences would be helpful!
cruiserll Posted August 9, 2018 #27 Share Posted August 9, 2018 First off, Facetime works fine. We are cord cutters at home and use PlayStation Vue for TV back at home. I couldn’t use that app to stream yankees game. Fox sports app also. All of the kids game apps works fine and as we speak the kids are on YouTube in the marketplace after a hot and humid day in old San Juan. Also you could just access web pages if an app doesn’t work. Cheaper to buy pre cruise and get a travel router. I think I saw Hootoo on Amazon for about $20. I’m using ravpower. Would you mind explaining a little more about how you use the travel router and it's benefits? Does it stay in the room or do you take it with you around the ship? Thank you!
