We dressed for dinner- DH in button up shirt and khaki and me in a dress. We arrived at the Golden dining room at 5:45 and requested Eduardo again. We witnessed another guest in flip flops and shorts being asked to leave. I had the crabcake (the best I’ve ever had!), stuffed mushrooms, shrimp, fillet and short ribs. We shared the stuffed pepper. For dessert, I had the melting cake, DH had the amaretto cake and Grand marnier soufflé. I remember tonight our food coming really quickly, like lightning and then after the entrees service just stopped. Then the dance happened and then dessert came. According to my pictures there was 45 minutes from the time the entrées were delivered till the dessert was delivered. But we’re on a ship on vacation with no place to go, so what’s the rush. After dinner we decided to watch a comedy show and since we missed the 7:00 show because of the delay, we decided to just do the 8:00 show. We headed to watch Travis in the atrium after changing. Rob Little was the comedian and it was another good show. We sat about three rows from the front and he had included me in his jokes and had me laughing so hard and embarrassed. We met him afterwards and he thanked me for being a good sport. We headed to the casino and watched Ron for a while and I bought a ring at one of the sales, you know next to the ever elusive gold by the inch [emoji57] We caught the tail end of the trivia in the atrium and then headed out for a walk. It had just rained and we ended up at the Serenity and hung out on the couches. It was so quiet and peaceful. It’s always amazing to me how on a ship with 3,600 + people you can find some privacy, but we always seem to. Workers came and set up tables for the late party. We then headed back to the atrium to watch Ron some more. Later we realized the 80’s glow n dark deck party was going on and headed up to Lido. We hung out there a while until it finished and they were heading up to the Serenity party. We headed to bed. Next is our last sea day [emoji30]

I've heard about the free house wine or 50% off better wine, but are their steaks worth the $70+ purchase compared to the MDR? If so, we'd like to add it on, but if it's similar to the steak had there then we'd rather put the funds towards another excursion. Any input is appreciated!

I 100% think it's worth it. I think the MDR is nothing more than a fancy TGI Fridays. I'm not sure the MDR steaks are as good as Outback. That's the food quality level to me. The steakhouse is on par with Ruth's Chris or Jeff Ruby (if you're a Cincinnati person). Quite literally one of the best meals I've had in my life. Good enough that we went twice one cruise. We will gladly pay the $70 extra to dine there.

I forgot to say that we finally let the photographer take our picture at the dinner table on Grand Turk elegant night. And then after we changed, sometime that evening we did the professional shots but didn't like those at all. The photographer was not very nice and was impatient. We ended up choosing the MDR picture. It wasn't that great either but since we had the $10 credit from my friend and it was only $15 and it fits in our 5x7 frame that came with the room decorations; it was meant to be [emoji3]

We did 5 black and white 10 x 13 shots on the Elation and that particular photographer was very good and friendly. We had spoke to him several times after the pictures. He said that he was on the Elation for almost a year as they couldn't find anyone to replace him. He said he was leaving soon no matter what. I wonder if he left.

Our last sea day.....woke up to rain and rough seas around 8:30. Well there goes my clam shell again, lol. We were rocking pretty good. This was the smoothest ship I’ve been on and even though we had a little rough seas the last day, it still didn’t compare to the Fantasy ships I’ve been on that were so rough you couldn’t walk down the halls without being a pinball. We headed to brunch in the platinum MDR and shared a large table over looking the aft. I had the fruit with cottage cheese, chicken ceasar salad, eggs benedict with salmon instead of ham and brownie for dessert. Since all my food was on the starter menu, they brought all 3 things at once which was very crowded on my tiny section. Everyone else at the table had entree’s so they all watched me eat while waiting on theirs. Since I didn’t get an entree, I would have been thought they would have just waited on mine to bring with the others. The chicken was good but a little spicy for my bland palate. It was all great, I liked the salmon benedict instead of the ham! We watched the white caps as we rocked and talked with the other couples

We had received our debarkation information. With FTTF we could be one of the first off the ship after the carry off luggage and platinum/diamond as they give you special tags. But our flight was at 7:45 and we were just going to spend the day in Miami. We were in no rush to get off, I actually chose the last luggage tag #. I debated about doing laundry on this sleepy day as I normally do it on every cruise so I don’t have to worry about it when I get home. I know most people wouldn’t want to deal with it but honestly I just throw it in the machine and come back in an hour and then put it in the dryer and wait another 45 min-hr so they don’t get wrinkled. I was all excited that the laundry rooms take S&S cards now and you don’t have to use quarters. I decided because of our room location to just head up the stairs and use the laundry room on the Lido deck because the one on the verandah deck is almost aft. The S&S card machine was broken and I had already put my clothes and laundry pod in the washer. So I just left the lid closed and headed to the casino to stand in a very smoky line to get change for $6. I kind of remember the guest services having change before which would’ve actually been closer to me but I didn’t know and didn’t feel like walking to two places and knew the casino had change. I headed back up and put my 12 quarters into the machine and nothing happens. I reread the directions again, checked all the settings, tried to push it back in but nothing happened. I walked out the door I found the room steward for the section and asked him and he told me to call 7777 and ask for assistance. About five minutes later a guy comes up there and took the coin feeder apart and pushed my quarter in and the machine started. He says they get stuck all the time LOL. I walk around Lido deck and watch the rain. And then finish the laundry. I go ahead and pack my checked bag. I then head to Serenity to read and take a nap on the covered couch area. I had wanted to do a few things on the activities in the fun times but didn’t make it to anything.

I forgot to mention the chocolate extravaganza at the buffet. It was not very appealing to me and I honestly didn’t get anything except for the ice cream cone. I saw somebody post a video on YouTube of a chocolate extravaganza with a chocolate fountain and different things to dip it in. Unfortunately the Glory did not have that. Around 3:30 we started to get hungry and decided to eat lunch. We figured since this was the last day we would just have a late dinner. I wanted to try the sushi and today is the day. DH wanted to try a different sandwich from the deli. I asked him to get me a hotdog too LOL. The sushi had no one but the deli line was about 10 deep it was very slow. I was ready 30 minutes before DH was. I ordered Maguro and Tempura Roll. The guy was very nice and gave me 3 extra pieces of tuna and it was very delicious and fresh! I think DH had the Cuban and liked it. I headed to the gym for my last work out and last time in the steam room and sauna and my last high pressure shower in the spa. The gym was empty except for employees. I guess they have to wear their name tag on or off duty. I believe a couple were performers as they kept singing and a fellow cruiser told them they did a great job last night.

While I was in the gym, the captain made an announcement. He said they had an a medical emergency and there was a passenger that needed emergency medical assistance. He said that we would be going full speed to Miami and plan on being there at 2 AM. That will not interrupt our debarkation process as we still won’t get off until 8am. The seas were calming down by now and it was smooth the rest of the evening.

We decide to go to the farewell trivia party in atrium. We also have to use our past guest free drink tonight. Trivia party was fun with dancing, good music and free drinks if you got attention. Everyone got involved including the people on the elevator. From what I saw, Dustin and his crew were pretty good.
