Glovie Posted May 19, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 19, 2018 A favorite cruise line for dancing has carpeted over the largest dance floor so we are looking for new vacation ideas that offer both buffets and plenty of dance time. We have never tried river cruises. Can anyone tell us whether dance music is played every day at a venue with a dance floor and for how long? Is there ballroom dancing, with a variety of styles of music? Are there any recommended dance theme cruises, such as swing dance?
CookieLady Posted June 23, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 23, 2018 You may want to look into StarVistaLive.com which is a specialty company focusing on dance and music themed cruises, sailing in the Caribbean using well-know company's ships (like Holland America). The next sailing is "Malt Shop Memories" in November. Others are Country Music, Soul Train, 70's Rock and Romance to name a few. Every day is packed with performances throughout the ship, not just the headliners at night. People are singing and dancing all day and night. (I am not a representative of this company ;-) The American Queen Steamboat Company (NOT the American Cruise Line) has small lounges where people do dance and sing along with the piano player as well as a theater with evening performances. I have seen late night dancing after the late show in the theater which has a wood floor.
