Diamond Princess GS

We have booked the Grand Suite on Diamond for her repo cruise next Sept. Now I'm not so sure we should be way aft - my DH has congestive heart failure & cannot walk far without breaks. From deck plans, it looks like we could get to the Int'l Dining Room, Terrace Pool & a few others fairly easily (after walking forward to elevator) but I'm needing advice about trying for a more mid-ship position (right near an elevator). I'd hate to give up the GS, but would be worth it for DH's comfort. Any opinions?
