AmberTeka Posted May 29, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 29, 2018 We made it years ago. But my daughter and Son In Law now sail with us, the number of cruises is more, but I do not know the number. Is there a chance that Carnival will ever allow cruises on all of their lines, HAL, Princess, etc. to be counted as a Carnival Cruise?
mdsgu Posted May 29, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 29, 2018 You need a total of 75 cruise nights. It's no longer how many cruises you take.
maryred Posted May 29, 2018 #3 Share Posted May 29, 2018 It's not by # of cruises anymore but the number of days on board. For Platinum, a passenger must have 75 VIFP points, 1 VIFP pt is awarded for each day you sail on board a Carnival ship. BUT it does not include days aboard a special chartered sailing nor completely free cruises (like those from a fundraiser raffle). If a passenger normal sails a 7 day itinerary, it takes 11 cruises to achieve. Since during the 11th cruise the passenger reaches his/her 75th cruise day they are granted Platinum status from the beginning of the cruise. If a passenger usually takes 3 day cruises, they will need 25 cruises to reach Platinum.
