Dan G Posted June 1, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 1, 2018 Be aware that the I-5 freeway will be closed from West Seattle to downtown so alternate routes must be used. Most shuttle to cruises will use hwy 99 or 509 but things will be much more congested than normal. Allow extra time and do not use a cab that will meter by time. This is from late Friday nite 6/1st till later sunday nite.

ericopia Posted June 1, 2018 #3 Share Posted June 1, 2018 We encountered a similar closure when we arrived at SeaTac the night of Friday, 5/18. To add insult to injury, the 1st Ave S bridge on 509 was apparently closed to through traffic (not sure why), requiring a circuitous route by way of West Seattle to get downtown. Our Lyft was nearly $50 before tip instead of the $35 I'd estimated, and it took longer than if we'd used Link Light Rail. Lesson learned: know your options! ladysheri Posted June 1, 2018 #4 Share Posted June 1, 2018 HIGHLY recommend Light Link Rail from the Airport to Downtown Seattle this weekend. Can then grab a taxi/Lyft/Uber to Hotel or Pier. There is also a Music Festival and 3 Mariner Games in Seattle this weekend. Thanks, Sheri
