mkslice Posted January 4, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 4, 2006 Hi, we've booked our first cruise on the NCL Star in an aft facing cabin in the AE catergory. Any first hand information on these rooms? Noise? Ship movement? Wind on the balcony while underway? Is the balcony that wraps around on the corner cabins on deck 8 and 9 accesable? Thanks in advance, Marc & Kathy
TaterSalad Posted January 19, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 19, 2006 We had an AE cabin on the Star last March and loved it!! The wrap around balcony is wonderful. It is accessible on deck eight (where we were) and I believe deck 9 but not deck 10. The balcony narrows at the side when it wraps around but a chair cushion fit perfectly and I would lay in the sun there and watch the water, very nice! I didn't really notice any noise. I have pictures posted and you can do a search on the boards for the review and pictures. It has been awhile since I posted them so you would have to do a search to find them. What cabin are you in?
