Junior suite questions

 Share

Recommended Posts

Hello! Our group just booked two Junior Suites with some friends to celebrate our milestone birthdays. We’re on the Imagination for a quick 3 night cruise out of LA.

With a junior suite, I believe you get priority embarkation, but not access to your rooms is that right? What time is the embarkation typically? Trying to decide if we should drive from Phoenix that morning or the night before. Our docs aren’t available yet so don’t have anything official on this info.

Are there any other perks of having a junior suite or is that it?

Thanks!!!

Correct you do get VIP check in (this is a great perk, you literally walk around that giant long line of people waiting to go through the various steps; initial docs check, check in) and priority embarkation. However the other VIP/FTTF perks such as room being ready, priority tendering, priority line at Guest services are not included- if that's important try and get the FTTF, otherwise wear your swimsuit on and just head straight to the pools/bars and wait until 1:30 for your room to be ready. As far as other amenities I'm not sure there are any.

We are in PHX as well, we normally come in the day before and stay on the Queen Mary overnight and then just walk over to the ship in the morning for checkin. We park in the parking structure for the ship when we arrive so we don't have to do anything else the next morning. We have been doing this for years.

Any Suite guest gets priority embarkation and debarkation, but can't go to the cabins first thing unless you get the FTTF package. Suite and FTTF can pretty much check in as soon as they open up there is no set time for checkin and then you wait in your designation area in the new terminal until boarding. The new process is so much easier that they have setup. Really painless. Enjoy your cruise!
