Viking River Cruise extension

Hi,

We are going to book our air for our first Viking River Cruise at the end of the month! Our plans include a 2 day extension to Lucerne, with a flight out of Zurich back to Atlanta.

My question: If my Viking cruise goes from Saturday to Saturday, and we have 2 days in Lucerne, do I fly out of Zurich on Monday or Tuesday?

Doesn't Viking say how many "nights the extension is? I can't imagine it is less than 2. Best thing is to ask Viking air when you do the booking.

We took the Rhine Getaway cruise two years ago which ended in Basel with the Lucerne extension which then was two nights. If same as yours, you would transfer from the ship to Lucerne on Saturday, so Saturday would be your first night in Lucerne. Sunday night would be your second night in Lucerne. You would transfer to the Zurich airport on Monday morning (time departing ship dependent upon your flight departure time). If unsure, call your travel agent (if you used one) or Viking directly if you booked with them. FYI, we really enjoyed the Lucerne extension!
