Rare pierces Posted July 11, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 11, 2018 Rumored to happen last year, the axe finally fell. The items are listed on Nikon's Japanese website as "Lens interchangeable advanced camera product list (old product)". Cameras last for years. If there's a fire sale on Series 1 lenses, it may be a good time to grab one. Dave
gambit57 Posted July 11, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 11, 2018 Sad but unexpected. Let's hope a great successor comes out.
Rare pierces Posted July 11, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted July 11, 2018 Sad but unexpected. Let's hope a great successor comes out. You meant "expected"? Rumors have been rampant for a couple of years. The head of Nikon's mirrorless dev team is saying "full-frame" during almost every conversation. Sony's passing them in full-frame sales must have finally perked up some ears over there. Dave
havoc315 Posted July 12, 2018 #4 Share Posted July 12, 2018 Sony a-mount is next to go. It had been 3 years since last “1” camera. Been 2 years since last a-mount camera, and much longer since last a-mount lens.
