wheretocruise Posted January 6, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2006 Hi All, I'll be sailing for the first time on Celebrity on Infinity in June for a short cruise from SF to Vancouver. Can anyone advise how many formal, informal and casual dining nights there are? It's probably one of each but was hoping to pack light and wishing possibly that there would not be a formal night - too much to pack!! Thanks in advance. catmand Posted January 6, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 6, 2006 I know this doesn't exactly answer your question but even if there is a formal night you may want to make reservations in the "alternative" dining area in the buffet. Don't let "buffet" scare you it is a beautiful table setting with a great view. The area is where they train new waiters so the kids may be a little nervous but they fall over themselves trying to make sure you're happy. There is a 2 dollar service charge per person. If you do want to check this out, call early for your reservations. Have FUN. We did a 2 day and each took a back pack, check out this picture, this was a TWO night cruise:

wheretocruise Posted January 6, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted January 6, 2006 Thanks for the photos. This is a great idea. Do you know if the menu is the same as in the main dining room?
Andy Posted January 6, 2006 #5 Share Posted January 6, 2006 Thanks for the photos. This is a great idea. Do you know if the menu is the same as in the main dining room? Hello ! It is definately not the same menu as the Main Dining Room, but the food is very good. We have done it a couple of times, and we were not disappointed.
