Bonnie Voyager Posted January 8, 2006 #26 Share Posted January 8, 2006 Susie, I will let you know when I get my dress and how I like it! By the way, I assume you are a nurse? So am I. I was also a "nite" nurse many moons ago. Now I am a school nurse, so no nights for me! :D And no weekends, and no holidays, and no snow days, and no summer days....I love it! nitenurs2 Posted January 8, 2006 #27 Share Posted January 8, 2006 Yes, I am a nurse--just no longer "nite". I made the switch to days a while back for the convenience of the family (altho my body still prefers working nights-I hate getting up in the mornings). I started using the name "nitenurs" yrs ago and it's just easier not to change (my feeble mind would get confused). School nurse? Our school system did away with that years ago. Now we have office personnel with a telephone  .
Bonnie Voyager Posted January 9, 2006 #28 Share Posted January 9, 2006 No school nurse's? Wow, our schools have gone in the exact opposite direction. Our public schools have "Wellness Centers" which are basically fully functional walk-in clinics manned by Nurse Practitioners, but for the exclusive use of the students. I am in a private school, so I function as a "traditional" school nurse handling day-to-day medical issues as well as annual screenings for vision, hearing, scoliosis, etc... for over 500 students. Then, of course, there's all that paper work and making sure everyone's immunizations are current! I can't imagine there being no school nurse! clasko Posted January 9, 2006 Author #31 Share Posted January 9, 2006 Liner, glad to help you find it too! That's exactly how I feel. Spending $100 on a dress to wear once is a little hard. :)
