abteer Posted January 6, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 6, 2006 Can anyone suggest a reasonble hotel in the Port Everglades area. After the cruise (2/4/06-2/9/06) was thinking of catching the Tut Exhibit which is nearby on Las Olas Blvd. I'd love alternate listings too if you get a answer. We are staying in september. We booked at Holiday inn Ft lauderdale beach but on another thread I heard it's bad. We had a great rate too with our entertainment card $65. But you have to have an entertainment card for that rate, which are very handy and can be bought at a local barnes and noble or online at www.entertainment.com we get one every year, lots of buy one get one free meals and such, along with airline, cruiseline, hotels, and rental car discounts. As well as several entertainment discounts. Price runs about $30. They have several hotels that accept the discount on their website, but I don't know which is which! LoL..... SLCBoys Posted January 7, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 7, 2006 Stay away from Comfort Inn/Cruise Port it's the most awful disgusting and dirty place I've ever been in. We were only allowed 2 towels, floors weren't vacuumed, tub was filthy, counters and mirrors hadn't been cleaned and upon complaining, the staff wouldn't get off the phone long enough to listen and could care less. I would have left but arrived at midnight and not knowing the area our entire group of about 18 were stuck, all had the same awful experience in their room. My sister used to work at the Holiday Inn, not sure how many are there but it's right on the beach, it was ok for price but nothing to brag about and honestly I don't think I'd stay there again. I would recommend Embassy Suites, it's a bit inland but it's been renovated and very nice. Room was big, nice big pillowtop mattress and the room service was excellent. They do have shuttles to/from port as well and the cost was $40 more a night compared to Comfort Inn, not bad and well worth it.

Sea Island Lady Posted January 7, 2006 #5 Share Posted January 7, 2006 The Riverside Hotel is my pick and it's right on Las Olas Blvd. It may not be reasonable enough for you, but it was for us because everything was close by and it was beautiful. http://www.riversidehotel.com/ TIP: We stayed in the new Executive Towers rooms. The older section may have some better rates for you, though.
TrentS Posted January 7, 2006 #6 Share Posted January 7, 2006 Riverside Hotel is a great choice, but the last 3 in the list below are more "reasonable", however at this late date you may have to take what you can get, and it's probably not going to be too cheap!
