Alaska Newbie Posted August 12, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 12, 2018 We are doing the 3 night cruise with 4 adults, one 4 year old. Have never done the DCL so any suggestions or tips would be appreciated.
Dulciana8 Posted August 12, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 12, 2018 We’ve cruised on Wonder three times with our son, who is four, most recently this last March. Hopefully your four year old will enjoy it— all the characters really came alive for our son this last time. We chose to do an autograph book this last time, so if you’re interested in that, it was a fun activity for our son. Our son did play in the kids club a few days, but wasn’t consistent, although the facilities were very nice, and the staff super sweet and helpful. We had a balcony stateroom, which was great. No issues with safety concerns. Meals are a huge ongoing problem for us because of our son’s pickiness, but the dining staff was great and tried to accommodate us as best they could. What else? I’ve just jotted down some general thoughts. We were in the Caribbean, and didn’t use any ship sponsored excursions this last trip, although we have done so in the past and they’ve been fine. Alaska Newbie Posted August 13, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted August 13, 2018 We have adjoining balcony rooms so hope to enjoy that. Our grandson is picky with eating too. Not sure if he will be going to the kids club or not. I’m just hoping it’s all not too overwhelming for him.

We have cruised on Wonder with friends, also in adjoining balcony rooms, and the stateroom attendant opened the partition between our rooms for us (we also had a door between our rooms). It was great having an extra long balcony! Ask about this if you’d like!
