we are sailing out of miami in march. which time zone willwe be using for the cruise. will the cruise stay with miami -eastern standard time the whole cruise? i am trying to arrange my own excursion in st thomas and they are on atlantic time which is one hour ahead of miami in march. it changes in april.

 

help!!!!

The ship's time is *usually* adjusted to match the time in the various ports--BUT NOT ALWAYS! You have to be careful to make sure which time zone the ship's clock is set to, 'cause THAT'S the sail-away time, and it would be a very bad thing (and expensive!) if you "missed the boat"

The ship time is at the discretion of the Captain.

 

I have been on 4 cruises - 3 were totally on ship time, which was EST, and one was done on island time.. we had to set our watches back an hour for I think Grand Cayman.

 

you will hear the announcements and also see it in your Cruise Compass, and if all else fails, ask someone
