tommoore1 Posted January 10, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 10, 2006 The ship's time is *usually* adjusted to match the time in the various ports--BUT NOT ALWAYS! You have to be careful to make sure which time zone the ship's clock is set to, 'cause THAT'S the sail-away time, and it would be a very bad thing (and expensive!) if you "missed the boat" --Tom
Lou_70 Posted January 10, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 10, 2006 The ship time is at the discretion of the Captain. I have been on 4 cruises - 3 were totally on ship time, which was EST, and one was done on island time.. we had to set our watches back an hour for I think Grand Cayman. you will hear the announcements and also see it in your Cruise Compass, and if all else fails, ask someone
wrp96 Posted January 10, 2006 #4 Share Posted January 10, 2006 Which ship are you sailing on and which dates - this might help other people tell you whether it will be on ship time or port time.
