We are in Ft. Lauderdale and would like to know how far the Thrifty Car Rental agency on Miami road is from the Amerisuites on 17th St.

We are considering dropping the car off early and taking a cab to the Amerisuites shuttle to the pier on Friday morning. Is this a good idea?

It's a half block east of US1/Federal Hwy. at the Midport entrance to Port Everglades (across the street to the east from the large Mercedes dealership), 5 minutes from AmeriSuites.

 

On a Friday I don't think you'll have a big problem using AmeriSuites shuttle, on the weekends however it's chaos as everyone wants to leave at once. You should be okay.
