I hate to show my ignorance but what is the perks of the Skippers club.

Priority embarkation. According to the CCL website, this is now available for Platinum members

I agree with jleg....the line is shorter to get checked in. Thats about it. But it is a nice perk!:)

This is my one & only time experience with it, we were escorted into a small room where we were checked in, (a party of 4 but only 2 were eligible for skippers club),than we were taken to the front of the line to get our pictures take & go through security. So yes it was faster because we were able to by pass a few hundred people. I must say I am a firm believer of getting to the pier early.

I have been been able to use it twice. The only perk is the check in. Very nice by passing a few hundred people:)

 

Everyone stand in the same security line:( But, after that it is smooth sailing;)

I stood in the Skippers CLub line this October in Long Beach I was the 2nd person onboard.

I have used the Skippers Club in 4 different ports (New Orleans, Port Canaveral, Tampa, & Miami) and nine different cruises (Not aware of it on my first Carnival cruise in 1993). It is not usually priority boarding, but priority check-in. At some ports it is a nice room and in others it was just a table off to the side.
