jana616 Posted January 11, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2006 A trivial question, I realize, but I was thinking of doing these as souvenirs and thank you's (for the neighbor who's getting our mail, the sister who's keeping our dog, etc.), and I wanted to get some idea how much they are, so I know if I need to shop for other things as well. GC is our last stop...so any info is appreciated!
drew sailbum Posted January 13, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 13, 2006 I seem to recall that my preferred brand cost about US$20 for one of the large (approx 2 pound) cakes at the company store. Can be priced higher in certain gift shops.
mdeane Posted January 13, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 13, 2006 We could also buy then onboard the ship for the same or lower prices than on the islands.
twinkletoes4445 Posted January 13, 2006 #4 Share Posted January 13, 2006 You can buy a 6 pack for $29.00 (or in that neighborhood). It's packaged in a container that is easy to carry (or pack). Or you could buy them individually for around $5.00. My family prefers the chocolate, so we bought them individually. The 6 pack has three different flavors (one is chocolate, but I can't remember the other two). They aren't very big, but you could give them 2, each being a different flavor. That would only run you around $10 per gift. There is also a "hurricane" flavor, which is chocolate/vanilla swirl. I believe the box said "Hook" on the front (the box was blue and white). I'll have to go upstairs and take a closer look at the box.
