CSohio Posted January 12, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 12, 2006 The Grandeur of the Seas resumes round trip western caribbean sailing beginning on Dec 2, 2006 out of New Orleans. We are looking to sail during the beginning of December 2006 on a Non-Voyager ship that does 7 day cruises (we have sailed Voyager class ships 9 times and want to try the smaller ship atmostphere). Pricing for a balcony is about the same for New Orleans as the sailings out of Tampa or Galveston. How prepared do you think the pier staff and the support (airports, taxi, ground transportation) will be? Do you think there will be a high risk of problems with this cruise than sailing out of Tampa or Galveston on another ship? Thanks for any insight. signman Posted January 12, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 12, 2006 This will be Grandeur and RCL's first cruise out of New Orleans since May 2005. I would expect the air and ground transportion to be just fine, but maybe a little rustiness at the pier.
