Reasonably priced Hotel in Houston near port

Hi All,

 

Can you recommend a reasonably priced hotel near the port of Houston. One with free shuttle to the port would be perfect. It's just for an overnite so clean and safe would be the most important.

There are several on Galveston Island. I think when I was researching Days Inn was 36.00 over the internet. We have reservations at the Holiday Inn on the Beach for $ 84.00. We can leave our car there during the cruise so we save the $ 70.00 parking. Works well for us.

 

As I recall, Days Inn does not have a free shuttle, but a cab wouldn't be much.

We just felt our car would be safer at the Holiday Inn. Probably no difference IMHO, but DH insisted.

Just re read your post. You are leaving out of the Houston port.

There are 4 hotels close to the Port of Houston. I don't know about a free shuttle, but I believe there is a very inexpensive shuttle service that goes from each hotel to the port. You can call the one you are interested in and they can tell you for sure.
