Banking

The Cayman Islands are a major world banking center. Most banks in Cayman are merely offices of international banks and most will not accept cash deposits!

Banking regulations in Cayman require certain disclosures to descourage money laundering. Rumors of suitcases full of cash are just rumors.

Example rates for fixed deposits are available on the website of many banks. http://www.butterfieldonline.ky/rates/depositrates.pdf shows the rates at one major bank.
