SanFranBayCruiser Posted January 13, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 13, 2006 Hello Fellow Cruisers! I'd like to know if Celebrity offered any type of Religious Service during the Christmas sailings? If so, was it non-denominational or was Catholic mass available? If services were held, was it Christmas eve or Christmas day? Any information is appreciated. Thanks. As on all of my previous X cruses there were Catholic sevices. There is always daily mass.On Christmas eve there was midnight mass followed by mass Christmas morning. When there was not a protestant clergyman the priest officiates at interdenominatinal sevices. There were also Hannukah(sp?) sevices every night by a Cantor. 944cruiser Posted January 13, 2006 #4 Share Posted January 13, 2006 We just returned from a Christmas Cruise aboard the Galaxy and there was a Christian pastor aboard. We had a delightful midnight service which included a praise band composed of crew volunteers. That allowed us to have a nice time of praise and worship prior to the sermon. They also played some of the traditional Chistmas songs at the end. We also had a Christmas day service at 10:00 am the next morning, but without the praise band. The catholics had services, but I'm not sure about times. The services were held in the Savoy and it is the first time I ever attended a worship service in a bar, not to mention walking through a casino with my Bible to get there. goldminer1951 Posted January 14, 2006 #7 Share Posted January 14, 2006 It seems most if not all sailings offer daily Catholic Mass as a result of priests provided by Stella Maris. 'Miner
