Showtimes for PC dining

 We are sailing on Sapphire on Feb 11 06. As we have a 3 yr old we we would prefer to put her in child care at 7pm and eat then ourselves PC (at least for a few nights). However we haven't cruised for a number of years and really want to catch the shows. Can we eat PC after 7pm and still catch the late show? Do they still have a late show?

Any help appreciated

You could do it but remember at 10:00 they start charging to babysitting. Most late shows get out at 10 so by the time you get to the kid zone it's 10:15 and you will be charged for an hour of babysitting.

From my own experience, I have to disagree with the above poster. Showtimes are geared around traditional dining hours - usually 6:00 PM and 8:15 PM. That would make the showtimes at 8:00-8:30 PM (early) and 10:15-10:45 PM (late). However, at least once per cruise, the showtime for late sitting will be before dinner - at about 7:00 PM. I can't speak for baby-sitting services, though. But, don't expect to be out of the late show before 11:00 PM - usually a few minutes after.

One additional caveat ... this all depends on the ship's itinerary, and cruise director! Times can (and do) vary, but, usually not by much.

FWIW, when we have the kids, we eat early (5:30-6PM) then take them to the kids club or to the shows (they're 7 & 10, so we ask...sometimes). Another great option is to bring along grandparents. They are usually very willing to babysit a few nights so you can stay out late...especially if you pay their fare!

Last cruise, Grandma watched the kids at home, so we ate at 8PM every night and didn't miss a thing!
