Tarquin Posted January 5, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2019 Looking at 7 nights on Oceana in late June.......... Does Oceana have a seperate area where you can pay extra to guarantee sunbeds. (I seem to recall that Aurora had this facility via the Spa?) Any pointers regarding best deck for inside cabins? We don't want to be in the bowels of the ship or over the engines so guessing mid ships or mid forward. Occasional undue noise won't bother us. No mobility issues other than self inflicted - hic 😉 We've only ever done 3 day 'Bruge Cruises' with P&O and have found the entertainment variable. Awful stand up comedians, excellent 'Badness' tribute band. What can we expect over the 7 days? Single cabin costs? With the likely need for a single occupancy cabin and having had an indication of price from P&O direct it works out at double the single rate less £40. I'm guessing it's viewed as one less person to spend money on board but the 'saving' wouldn't appear to consider the free seat on the plane? Would booking through a travel agent be likely to secure a better deal?

Anyway, for the benefit of those who may have an interest in the answers. 😉 No, Oceana doesn't apparently have the facility to guarantee sunbeds in a separate area. Yes, absolutely yes, a better deal can be secured through an agent. An initial saving of around £250, reduced to around half that as we chose cabins in better positions.
