OnVacation11 Posted January 17, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 17, 2006 We stayed there 1 night pre-cruise on Dec. 17. This was our 2nd stay there. It was approx. $14 (with tip) taxi ride from airport. We arrived at 1:30pm and our room was not ready yet. We left our luggage with the bellman, purchased shuttle tickets for 12:00noon the next day ($6 per person) and went to grab some late lunch at Georgio's at a strip mall short walk from the hotel. When we came back at 3:00pm we got our room key. Room was fine. We noticed that the lamps in the hallway were being replaced and some were missing the shades (there was a note on the wall indicating that there was still hurricane damage repair work going on). We weren't hungry for dinner so we walked over to Publix and picked up some fruit and snacks to take with our to watch the Christmas Boat parade under the bridge. Great fun ! The next day we had breakfast at Bonjour Cafe around the corner from the hotel and walked across the bridge to take a 1st look at our ship - Star Princess. We called the bellman around 11:30 to pick up our luggage but he still was not there at 11:45 so we went dowstairs. The shuttle showed up around 12:15 and after loading up all the luggage were were on our way !!!
