GenSteve Posted January 18, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2006 I posted this on the HAL board, but I haven't gotten a response so far. I am considering the Noordam transatlantic on 4/15/06. I've read contradicting accounts of how the sauna/steam works in the spa on the Westerdam, Ooosterdam and Zuiderdam. I know there's a charge for the Thermal Suite area. Is there a free sauna/steam in the men's locker room, or do you have to use other co-ed facilities?
ORDPLATAA Posted January 18, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2006 I was on the Zuiderdam in June of last year. There is an extra charge for the Thermal Suites (I had a spa treatment so it was included). There are no steam/sauna facilities in the locker rooms - all co-ed. shsunseeker Posted January 18, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 18, 2006 We were on the Zuiderdam for xmas. There is a thermal suite and a salt water hydrotherapy room. It was twenty dollars a day for each or forty for both. There were package deals for the entire cruise. The thermal suite had warm lounge chairs, a steam room, 2 saunas and aroma therapy showers. It was okay but a stretch for twenty extra bucks. The salt water hydrotherapy pool (I tried it once) didn't really do much for me. I like steam rooms; so, I paid for the thermal suite for the trip. There was, however, a free sauna(one for men and another for women) in the hallway near the entrance to the spa. Have fun!
