Skagway: Round trip on Train vs. One Way Fraser & Return on Coach

My elder son and I are planning on doing the train and bike back tour, but for my wife and younger son we're debating on whether they just do a round trip tour or whether they should do a tour that's to Fraser and then return via bus with photo stops.

Any perspectives? One thing worth mentioning is that my wife and younger son do get motion sickness, and I'm not sure how twisty windy the road is.

Any perspectives?

I did the van up and the train down with Chilkoot Tours and enjoyed it.  Chilkoot has the tour vans that seat about 25 people so there's better visibility and stops are easier/faster with the smaller groups.  We probably made a dozen van stops and the tour included lunch.  The road is pretty wide and not real "twisty".  I enjoyed seeing the area from two different perspectives.

Going up on the train, sit on the left.  Going down, sit on the right for the best views.  It's the opposite for the van - sit on the right going up and the left coming down for the best views.

Enjoy Alaska!
