snowshovel Posted January 19, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 19, 2006 I understand the QM2 hit something leaving Fort Lauderdale and damaged a pod/engine, came back to Fort Lauderdale for an inspection by Coastguard divers, and has sailed again as of 6:30am today using 3 of her 4 pods/engines. Has anyone seen a report on what the divers found?

snowshovel Posted January 19, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted January 19, 2006 This answers the question a little. Ricker posted this picture a few minutes ago. I think It's one of the propeller blades from the damaged pod. Hope he doesn't mind me borrowing it for this.
lk4xits Posted January 19, 2006 #6 Share Posted January 19, 2006 Does anyone know who's the captain on the QM2 for this sailing? Heads will roll, eh?. Commodore Warwick is in command of the QM2. I believe the insurance company will launch an investigation of who is responsible. Too early to put full blame on the Harbor Master. mufi Posted January 19, 2006 #7 Share Posted January 19, 2006 Even when the pilot is aboard the ship is still the responsibility of the Master. David.
