Arrival & Excursion Time

We are going to be going to Atlantis in Nassau and saw that  we arrive at 7am and the excursion is 7:30am. I know there will be many doing the same. Do we have to be ready at 7:30 or is this a at your own pace type deal? Like can I let those in a rush go while I take my time and come down say 8:30?

Atlantis is only 2 miles from the cruise port. I would just DIY and not worry about doing an excursion if you want it to be on your own time.

But to answer your question, it's 2 miles away, so you need to either take a bus, taxi, or water taxi to get there. Therefore, you can't just come off the boat when you want, because they will have already taken the group over there. If you want time flexibility, skip the cruise line's excursion and just do it on your own. VERY easy to get to without taking a formal excursion.
