About P&O's new alcohol policy

Well me and my mates were originally planning on bringing aboard a bottle of alcohol each to save money on drinks, but were quite annoyed to find out that NO alcohol is allowed to be taked aboard for personel consumption. My question is, how strict are they in enforcing this new policy and what are the odds of the them finding anything in our luggage? Thanks

Not sure when the new policy comes into effect. But both my brother and I took one bottle each into the cabin in our carry on luggage and had no problems or questions.

We were on N602 on the Sun.

I would think that if you really want to save then stick one bottle in your carry on and go for it.. worse case is that confiscate it and put it in bond and you get it back at the end.

Best case you save $90 (23 drinks at $5.50 minus the $30 to buy the bottle)

It seems worth the risk to me.

Its not like anyone will lock you in the brig for 1 bottle.

now if you were trying 5 or 6 each then you might be saying hello to Bubba.

Cheers,

dan

I mean if you wanted to celelbrate sailAway with 1 bottle of Champagne at least, come on..

FUNSHIPS or RULESSHIPS... ?

I think they would rather you bought their champers, and you can see their point really.:)
