Bandmanken Posted April 13, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 13, 2004 I spent two hours writing an extremely thorough review of my great cruise last week on the Sensation and as it was loading, I got kicked off AOL and lost the entire document. I will try to retrieve it - any ideas? Or tomorrow, I will re-write it. No need to try another line after four great cruises on Carnival. So far, the Sensation is my absolute favorite ship. Happy cruising to all of you fanatics! Sensational Cruise
CruiseMark Posted April 13, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 13, 2004 Can't help you with AOL, but you might try typing it up in Word or something, then just copying and pasting it when you're done. I can't wait to read it as we're anxiously awaiting our Sensation-al cruise in August! Thanks for posting it, in advance. serene56 Posted April 13, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 13, 2004 The Sensation was our first cruise. It was by far my favorite one to date. By a chance did you check out the hot tubs located in the gym area? Bandmanken Posted April 14, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted April 14, 2004 Okay, after three tries and four hours of wasted time, I have given up on InfoPOOP! I did post a lengthy review on the home page. I do not know how to get it to this part of the Boards. It should be listed under "Sensation-al Cruise - April 3 - Spring Break." We had such a fabulous time and I have many stories. Having sailed on three previous Carnival cruises, now the Sensation is my favorite. We had the time of our lives - our best cruise, yet. Many thanks to Carnival for making lifetime memories for my family. We will by loyal to Carnival - no reaso nto go elsewhere! I will answer any questions and discuss any topics about the Sensation - she is a grand ship! I would highly recommend this ship to all! Now, I am addicted. Soon, we will be seeing a listing in the Capers - instead of "Friends Bill W.," it will be "Friends of Bob D." Ha-Ha! Happy cruising to all you fellow addicts! bridesmaidatsea Posted April 14, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 14, 2004 Good to hear so many great things about the Sensation! I am planning a cruise on Sensation for December and can't wait! Any sensation-al tips for the sensation? Carnival Sensation here I come!
CruiseMark Posted April 14, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 14, 2004 Not sure what you meant by "posted it on the home page". I can't seem to find it anywhere. Can you post a link to it? Thanks, Mark Star Princess - Sept 1990 - Alaska Radiance of the Seas - Sept 2001 - Alaska Till we sail on the 8/21 Sensation!
CruiseMark Posted April 14, 2004 #7 Share Posted April 14, 2004 Question: If we want to skip formal night, what are our options for dinner? katie286 Posted April 14, 2004 #8 Share Posted April 14, 2004 I couldn't find it either...we are going on our first cruise on July 10th. Hubby and I and three kids ages 7,10,& 13. Tell us everything!!! LOL!! We really want to know how the ship was and what was your experience like? we have been upgraded to the Upper deck, one O/V and one inside. I would love to hear about your trip! Thanks! SENSATION! FIRST CRUISE! 7/10/
Bandmanken Posted April 15, 2004 Author #9 Share Posted April 15, 2004 I think my review will be on the Home page under the Community Section either tomorrow or the next day. I did find the wonderful hot tub next to the Spa, as well as the Steam Sauna and the multi-head showers! If you skip dinner in the Dining Room (Why on Earth would you want to consider that on a non-port night?!?!) your options are the Seaview Buffet, the Deli (YUM-YUM-YUMMY!), or the Pizzaria. E-mail me with specific questions and I will be more than happy to respond. Bandmanken@aol.com Many Blessings to all you cruise junkies! CruiseMark Posted April 15, 2004 #10 Share Posted April 15, 2004 Thanks, I'll look for it then. As far as skipping the dining room, we're going to be travelling for two weeks prior to the cruise. We don't want to lug around formal dresses and a tux/suit through airports, etc during that time just for one meal on the cruise. serene56 Posted April 15, 2004 #11 Share Posted April 15, 2004 We sailed the Sensation with 5 of us in an inside cabin. Those shower heads in the gym area are awesome. I guess that is what made my boys ok to take a shower each night in the gym instead of the cabin. DonnaD Posted April 15, 2004 #14 Share Posted April 15, 2004 We go in July. Can't wait either. Do you have to pay extra for the spa. I mean I know you do for massages, etc, but what about the sauna? Donna
Bandmanken Posted April 16, 2004 Author #15 Share Posted April 16, 2004 You do not have to pay to use the gym, steam room, showers, or hot tub...very cool area of the ship. The thing not to miss on the Sensation is the wonderful DELI - you will get addicted! I hope you all have as good a time as my family did on the Sensation. Blessings!
