newcruiser1951 Posted January 25, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 25, 2006 We are taking our 1st ever cruise aboard the Caribbean Princess leaving 9/30. My worry is that it's hurricane season and I'd love to hear from some people who've done this cruise during the season before! What can we expect? What is past history? Is it true that the ships can usually steer clear of hurricanes? I can also be emailed @ hoywoman@comcast.net.
Karen Carney Posted January 25, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 25, 2006 Yes, it is hurricane season. Our weather forcasting technology is able to predict a hurricanes direction well in advance. If necessary the captain will redirect the ship well out of the path of the hurricane. Protecting the passengers and the ship is the priority.
