CruiseSlacker Posted April 15, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2004 If you are driving to Galveston on I-45, please give yourself plenty of time (one or two hours), as there will be one big party on the beach and along the seawall. Check out the City's press release at www.cityofgalveston.org I think the problem is getting into the island. Once you get over the causeway, it should be okay, if you head out the cruise terminal. Aegina/Poros/Hydra 9/00 Miriam(on the Nile) 10/00 Celebration of Birthday 10/01 Holiday in S. Got docs? Posted April 17, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 17, 2004 If from I45 you take Harborside, you will run into less traffic and it takes you right in front of the cruise terminal! It is really going to be a mess since they are not letting anyone park on the seawall this time. People are not going to know where to go and traffic I bet will be at most of a standstill. Try to get and stay on Harborside, it will be the best bet to get to the cruise terminal. The terminal is only about 6 miles from I45 on Harborside.
