We need some Vancouver suggestions.

We will be arriving at Canada Place, Vancouver BC, Canada - after a 10 day cruise in April.  Our flight does not leave until 10:30 PM so we will have about 12 hours to explore Vancouver before we have to get to the airport.  The cruise ship offers a tour and airport transfer but that will get us to the airport by 1.  We don't want to get there that early.  We are a family of 4 with 2 teenagers.  After a 10 day cruise we will have 4 large wheeled bags and probably 4 backpacks.  Does anyone know of a tour company that would allow us to keep our luggage in the van, explore the city, and then get us to the airport around 8 pm?  Any ideas of what others have done when they have had a late flight?  We could always rent a car I suppose. Has anyone had such a lengthy layover?

Landsea tours has several options that might work. At the bottom of the page in the link I've provided, it mentions to contact them directly for assistance in selecting tours to accommodate flight times. And yes, they keep your luggage on the bus until dropping you at the airport. Might want to give them a call:

Good luck!

With that long you really need a custom tour. Check out Toursbylocals.com, see if any current Vancouver guides have suggested tours that tickle your fancy, and contact them about booking an extra-long day.

Or else keep it simple and probably cheaper - store your bags at the pier (Pan Pacific Hotel bell desk costs $5 a bag all day, has been same price for years so good chance will be next year too) and then go do whatever around town you like the look of best. You have almost a year to hit up TripAdvisor and home in on what the likely best bets for your own family's tastes!
