madforcruising Posted April 17, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 17, 2004 Is there an Internet cafe on the Ecstasy and is it possible to have in room Internet access? Do you know about the costs? kajsb Posted April 17, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 17, 2004 The Ecstasy does have internet access on board, but in an internet cafe, not in the room. I don't remember the prices. I do remember that I checked out the prices and it wasn't worth the $ to me. I just decided that I could live without internet when it was just a 3 or 4 day cruise. lephysteria Posted April 18, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 18, 2004 Hello, I remember that when it came time to purchase the Internet, it came in packages. If you wanted the 30 minute package, it was more per minute, than if you purchased the 60 minute package. Although I didn't use all of the minutes, it was still only about $.28 a minute (ish). I needed it because when we were on the Ecstasy on 2/6/04, I was only 6 weeks away from my wedding, and well, I needed to chase my venders around! So, if you can stand to be without it for long, I'd say save your money. I did notice, however that you could use the internet whenever you wanted (port days and sea days). Any more questions, please ask! cruiseclues Posted April 20, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 20, 2004 The cybercaptive.com website has a couple of thousand more cybercafes than the cybercafes.com, which happens to be the same as netcafes.com. You may need to check both.
