By the way, I finaly got my Doc's yesterday:cool: . ready to get on that big ship now. We all need to have a little meet and greet when we get on the ship. From what my T.A said, it is going to be a sold out cruise.

So ok everyone thats going. Yall talk to fotoguy, linnie and I. Let us know who is going and where yall would like to meet up for a meet and greet. 4 more weeks and I can't hardly wait.

You are more of a man than I! While I absolutely love lobster, I would be hard pressed to be able to eat 7 or 8 of them. I might DREAM about doing such things here in Montana, but it's never going to happen.

One other post mentioned that they have lobster at the buffet on deck 9. That person said that they grabbed 3 as an appetizer for the late formal dinner.

I should grab a couple, put them in the fridge and snack on them later.

Glad to hear you got your documents.

The thing about it, I am not a big guy. But boy I love Lobster...lol. The place I go to in Kissemmee is only $25.00 for all you can eat. This place has everything you can think of. I make sure I get my $25.00 worth and then some.

I also heard about the lobsters on the buffet. I think that is the last formal night on the cruise. I don't know if I want to eat at the buffet or the main dining room:confused: . All I know is that I am ready to get on the ship and start some good ole R&R.

Maybe we will get more people to post on here. Till then keep smilin:D

I need to find that place next time I am down in Florida visiting my parents. I would drop $25 for all you can eat lobster any day of the week.

Why is your ticker different than mine? If we are leaving on the same ship, same day, one of us has to be wrong. Personally, I like mine better...it gives us one fewer days to wait.:)

Hi, First time "threader-answerer" here, but long-time expereinced cruiser. We (husband + wife, late 40's) are booked 4/9 on the Magica with our 10-year old son. Cruising is the way to go with kids because of the literally built-in babysitting perk; you pretty much have as much time to yourselves as you desire. We just started giving Robbie his own cabin key (after many requests) last November on a Princess cruise. Usually we take him to the program orientation (walk-thru upon boarding then official sign-up first nite between dinner times), he meets like-minded friends (video games, Star Wars), then we're (as opposed to him) on our own! Can't think of a time it hasn't worked or any counselor complaints. Same experience over years with our daughter, now 19 & in college (different Spring Break time this year or she'd be with us??). We've found the protected environment of a ship & generally class (I don't know how to term it) of people on board makes for about as safe a place for kids to vacation there is. Never a bad experience.

Let me know if you have any questions about the cruise or cruising I can help you with, including transportation to & from the port. We live just west of Ft. Lauderdale & take a 20-minute taxi ride each way.

If you want, I am extomcruise@aol.com.

HI extomcruise,

We will be staying in Kissemmee Saterday night and leaving out of there about 9 or 10 am Sunday morning heading on down. This is my first time out of Port Everglades. Always went out of Port Canaveral. I think I will take the turnpike instead or I-95. Looks like I can save about 30-40 minutes that way. Might not be as packed as the interstate. Looking forward to a great time. Hope to meet everyone on board. Till then yall keep smiling and God Bless:)

You shouldn't have any problems driving down on a Sunday but the turnpike would probably be the safer bet. Either way you'll get to I-595 east to the port - I mean it like dead ends there & just dumps you in. Will show ID at prot entrance. Port will be the crowded place that day as it's "season" here & usually 7-12 ships any given Sat. or Sun.

I have not recieved my docs yet but does anyone know what the boarding time is? With such a late departure, I'm not sure how early we can get on.

Has anyone scheduled any excursions? We were planning on winging it a little more on this cruise. I am definately planning on visiting an all- inclusive resort in Mo Bay and swimming with the sting rays in Cayman but I am not making plans for Key West, Cozumel or Freeport.

See you soon

Tracy

What all-inclusive resort are you talking about on Montego Bay? And how does one find out more about that one?

I too have scheduled the stingray thing through Costa. I just don't like to take the chance of missing the boat. I am going to be on vacation...and vacation is no place to stress about time.

Hi All,

We too are doing sunset beach resort, go on the jamaica board and there is lots of info. You can also go on their site directly and see lots of pictures of resort property. I do not know site off hand, heck I couldn't remember sting rays, called them searays, nervousness or age???

In Bahamas, all I can find is Lucaya, public beach, shopping, sounds pretty nice, daughter must lay on bahama beach. found some info yesterday, in Key West there are 3 ports our boat will dock at outer mole, a military base they say you have to ride by train? to town, people waited an hour to board to get back to ship. Grand Cayman 7 ships in port at same time we are there! We should definitely set up a time to meet and greet.....:) Lisa

Well maybe we can walk into town. Key west isn't that big but I reckon if you can't walk well then the ride would be great. I just want to go down to the southern most point. Look around alittle and get some of that great key lime pie and counch fritters..mmmmmmmm. not to much to there unless you like to hang out in the bars. Alot of them..lol. . Sure wish I could mark these days off the calander alittle faster. I just can't wait to get on that ship.:D

I do believe it was Sunset Beach that I was going to as well. That one looked like the most fun and they had a big new water park for the kids.( I do believe that the child's admission price is $20) I am going to book the Sting Ray city trip through one of the local excursion companies that I found on the Cayman board, There is an afternoon trip from 1:30-4 pm that sounds perfect and its on a sailboat or catamaran which to me is an added bonus.

In Key West we were just going to walk around and see the sights, and in Cozumel we are planning on going to Paradise Beach.

I have no idea what we are going to do in Freeport but it will most likely involve a beach, a drink and some sunscreen.

We should definately meet while we are onboard and at Sunset Beach.

I can't hardly wait

Tracy

I thought that Sunset Beach sounded really good, too. I'm looking forward to it! Dont' know if I want to do the stingray thing....I'm not especially fond of fish (either dead or alive!). I was in Key West about 8 years ago and saw most of the "tourist" stuff, but I really want to go to the Key West Aloe store and pick up some shampoo - it's the best I've ever used! Cozumel -?? maybe shopping, since we'll be there such a short time. Freeport - it looks like there may be a good beach or two, and shopping. I think I saw that there was also a casino there, in Lucaya (?) If nothing else, there's always the ship and a lounge chair and a "frou-frou" drink!

Yarddog- The last time we went on a cruise we did the park n' fly and it was remarkably easy. The shuttle was waiting for us when we parked and it only took a 10 minute wait for the next empty shuttle when we left the ship. I would recomend the park n' fly service.
