We will be sailing July 22 on the Voyager and are looking for leads for private guides in St. Petersburg. Also, has anyone experienced the Radisson excursions in that city?

Yes, and yes. You can book independently with the tour company that Radisson uses, and there are others. The last time I used Ost-West and was very pleased, but I did a customized 7 hour walking tour.

I highly recommend seeing Peteroff and Catherine's Palace. This year I am going to take the full day tour to Moscow, but there is so much to see in St. Petersburg, I would suggest you stick to that. There are so many excursions, if you tell me what ones you are interested in, I will see if I have done them. This will be my 3rd time in St. Petersburg.

A lot of people here have used Red October.

We used Red October August, '05. 2 day tour. It was filled via the roll call here. Ten people. Price for 2 days, for 2 people, was under $600. 19 hours of touring. I never want to see a palace again. :-)
