Business or First on United? SFO to London

Recommended Posts

I am taking my mom for her 80th bday to the Mediterranean. We will be flying from SFO to London, and I have enough points for upgrades.

I am concerned about making her comfortable and wonder if there is a significant difference between business and first. I know there are sleeper seats in first, but I read reviews that they aren't that comfortable.

Any thoughts?

I've been on UA's Biz and First to Australia.

Biz is very good, but hey, First is always nicer.

The Biz Class seats recline nicely, though not flat. It's much easier to get some good sleep in First. I found them to be comfortable. I agree that UA's First Class is not as luxurious as some others, but it's still very, very good.

If you've got the miles, go for it! Mom will appreciate the pampering. :)
