puck645 Posted February 1, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 1, 2006 We're looking into a round trip cruise from LA or San Diego to Hawaii. We'd like your take on the cruise...too many sea days, or just right? Too little time on the islands, or just right? Also what time of year did you sail? Thanks, in advance, Barb & Jim
sally r Posted February 1, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 1, 2006 puck645, to my knowledge, this May is the first round trip to Hawaii for RCCL. I am booked. We have always done the fall repositionings as b2b's. Decided to try this round trip as we have not been to Hawaii in the spring. I think the good points of the roundtrip are the ease of having the same embark/debark location and the fact that you avoid that hellish Ensenada nightmare. The price was good when the cruise first became available. The downside of the roundtrip is the time in port. On the repo cruises there is a wonderful overnight stay in Lahaina and Kona. We love sea days so there are never too many on any cruise.

CL-JW Posted February 1, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 1, 2006 We booked the September RT Hawaii trip on Radiance. We love sea days and this has plenty of them. I also think it is a good amount of time in the island. I've never been so it will be nice to sample each island for a day or so. Can't wait 'til September!
