Repeat comedy show marked as "all new show" on daily paper

Wondering if anyone else has experienced this on a recent NCL cruise, we were on the Breakaway Oct. 13. First comedy show was ok, the first lady was from NY and not that funny, but the second guy James Johann from Kansas was hilarious. Second night they had comedy in the main theatre, maybe 15 minutes for each comic and they were 70% repeat jokes, no idea why they did that show. Third night advertised on the daily paper as an all new show we saw James Johann and this time it was all repeat jokes some of them we had now heard 3 times. We did not go to any other comedy shows as every one was advertised as an all new show, though we were tempted to go and finish his punchlines before he was done telling the joke.

Anybody know why NCL does this? Do they figure everyone is on the drink package and won't remember the jokes from day to day? On carnival they have 4 comedians a week doing 1 to 2 different family shows each, so about 4 times as much as NCL. Wanted to talk to the comedy show manager guy, he was very tall, but we couldn't find him after the show like you can on carnival.
