cruzzer Posted February 2, 2006 #8 Share Posted February 2, 2006 Manzanillo has been updating the city since the earthquake of 1995. The scenery has changed in many areas. Regarding the harbor: There has been a great deal of building in the area, and the port is one of the largest commerical centers in Mexico. The downtown area is centerd on an extremely busy harbor. Don't forget to snap a photo of the HUGE statue. You can't miss it! Last year about this time, we fell in love with Manzanillo. It's not your Acapulco, Puerta Vallarta, or Cancun, but is has it's wonderful charm, and the locals are very helpful and kind. We were there for a week and hope to go back again soon.
